College majors by gender in past few decades?
Asked by fenestreDoes anyone know where I can find a gender breakdown of college majors by gender for the past 25 or so years up until now? Or, which office at a university/college would I contact to find out this information? I'm thinking I should phone/email the registar...anyone else?

The admissions office should be able to help you with this. Some schools might even have these statistics posted on their website. Here are a few examples: www.sfsu.edu/~ubp/clickmap/enroll.htm www.western.edu/ir/fall_1998/9899_majgenclass.htm Keep in mind that it may very significantly by the school and what the school is known best for.
