How respectable are online degrees?
Asked by mello_felloI've been thinking of gettind an online degree to help me change my career, and to get a job in the field i want to work in...but how exactly "good" are online degrees? Do employers take them seriously?

It depends on what you are studying and what you want to do with your degree. Some online degrees will not transfer to universities at which you may wish to pursue a graduate degree. In this case, if you want to pursue an academic career, they are problematic. If you want to earn a degree to learn something and use that knowledge to get a promotion or learn a new skill set, they are just as valuable as any other degree.
