How do employers view a PhD in Clincial Psych that came from Fielding Graduate University?
Since the program is "distributed" learning (basically online with month and quarterly meetings) is there a stigma attached to a degree from them? They are APA accredited. Is that the most important thing when it comes to finding a job, the APA accrediation of the program you got your degree from??

Online Ph.D.s (even "distributed" ones) will not be held in any esteem in academia. Likewise, they will be given less credence in most of the mainstream working world. Ph.D. study involves close and personal mentoring, hands-on research (oftentimes in a lab, or in the case of clinical psychology, supervised clinical experience), and sustained (not just monthly) intellectual community. Because of this, most accredited programs would not even attempt to provide Ph.D. level study online, and because of this, most mainstream employers will look askance at such a degree. Even though this program appears to be accredited, I urge you to look for a respected and accredited "brick and mortar" Ph.D. program. These programs will demand residency, and although this may be inconvenient for you, it is the only truly trustworthy method toward earning a doctoral degree.
