Do College Scholarships Count Against Pell Grants and Loans?
Asked by eddweenessIf a person gets 2500 in scholarships for community college, does that count against the amount of pell grant and loans he can get? Or does the scholarship pay for tuition and then the rest of the pell amount (they would have gotten without a scholarship) just get sent to the student? Thank you

It was my experience several years ago that every piece of earned money hurt your chances at federal aid. That may have changed.
