What is the average size of a college dorm room?
Asked by jimmythetulip22Are dorm rooms free, or do they cost something? Also, do you think it is better to get your own housing compaired to a dorm room?

In my experience, about 10 by 15 max. Think prison cell for two inmates. Free housing?!!! Not a chance. At least several hundred per month. About as much as a small apartment off campus would be. It's usually combined with a meal contract. All this varies from school to school. I personally think everybody ought to spend the first two years in a dorm. Immerse yourself in the college life. Make friends. Also helps avoid homesickness the first quarter.
