Term Papers for Money?

Asked by joleiey
I'm thinking of typing term papers for money. The papers would be written by the students and I would type them on my computer for a per-page fee. I read an artical by a lady who does this but she uses a typewriter. Has the advent of the computer killed this as an at home business? Do you think college students would still pay for this service? Is using a computer instead of a typewriter acceptable?

Assuming you already have a computer (you did post on the Internet, afterall) and enough time to type out big reports, then startup costs for your little business would be minimal. Operation costs would be limited to paper and ink, which is also fairly low. So, this business idea seems viable from financial point of view. Howvever, you are still left with the problem of finding customers in this technological generation. I think your business makes a bit more sense if you think about i like this; you aren't selling the ability to type a paper, you are selling the convenience of not typing your own paper. Does that make sense? So, overall, I say you should go for it. Print off some simple flyers and pin them up all over the place (use coloured paper rather than coloured ink to cut costs- same visual appeal, less ink wasted). When you give info to attract customers, emphasize the fact that you are selling them the convenience of typing their paper for them. I hope my ramblings made sense.
