As a mom who can't afford college, I sure don't want to send him into the service just for the free education. Yet, I sure don't want him to have loans for the rest of his life. He wants to go into accounting, any school will do. He hasn't been the 3.0 plus student to get the scholarships. All suggestions welcome!

Start at a community college, that should cut his, and your debt nearly in half. He has to study in college or the money will be wasted, until he is readily for that, don't even bother. Be careful about the service, first, make sure you know what he is promised upon his discharge. Second, they actually are shooting at our soldiers these days. Unless he has a desire to serve the country, the money alone isn't worth it.
