dorm room question for college students?
I have never lived in a dorm before and will for the first time next semester. I want to knw fi you can have guests in the rooms with you? like, lets say i have a friend visiting from out of town, do the RA's care? is there a rule to not let visitors stay with you for long periods?

Ordinarily, you can't have a non-student stay with you for any extended period of time. A weekend or so, ok. Your roommate DEFINITELY would care, as the space is confined. Be considerate of your roommate and you will be successful in the dorms. If it's a person of the opposite sex, definitely clue in your roommate about that and honor the roommate's requests. If you have to, get a motel for the weekend.
