Help with college admissions essay topic!!?
Asked by John SI have one written about me winning Prom King at my school. I wrote about how the weeks leading up to it were chaotic because of the nomination of a Chinese guy (me) for the title and how i overcame that by writing a 2-page article about stereotypes in the school newspaper. Would that look bad in the eyes of admissions officers? Would this be relevant to promoting diversity? Thanks for the help

Who know - what a stupid topic for a college admissions essay. The problem is that they are probably hoping you will come up with an idea in your essay they might be able to adopt to promote diversity on their own campus. I would like to know what idiotic college is asking that question - what happened to just asking a kid why they should be going to college? We none of that has anything to do with you kid - as to your essay I am not sure how you becoming the Prom King will do it - but I haven't read your essay - it might be fine - heck it might blow the aqdmissions officers away. I have to know what college is asking that question - too funny. Good Luck!!!
