Hi, can anyone help review my college admission essays?
I've been working on these 2 essays for the past couple weeks and just finishing up now. If anyone has time, can you please read one or maybe both and give me some pointers and comments? Thank you! http://ca.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-.7VEiEsicrUDQBVTIkzy;_ylt=Ak74.VkF65ZQOBkYCkyLG13ETuJ3

It is right to say that the essay is not the most interesting of works (though it is truly a difficult thing to make works of this sort anything but bland). However, there are a number of things that can be done in order to help make the essay at least memorable to the acceptance board, this being the ultimate goal for any applicant. If you can separate your essay from the multitude of others then, be the work good or bad, you have a better chance of acceptance. So then what is to be asked is what can I do to make my essay better (not to say that they are bad now)? For starters a good quote is a great way to introduce an essay. It is always nice to find a phrase that truly exemplifies something about yourself, your interests, or what you believe. For instance, for your love of math and all that is numbers you may turn towards Pythagoras of Samos, yes that Pythagoras, and use this quote “Number is the ruler of forms and ideas, and the cause of gods and demons.” Iamblichus. Make sure though that any quote you use is citied, you don’t want to be accused of plagiarism before even starting your academic carrier. Introducing your essay in this manner can give you that flair that just might catch the eye of the reader and lead him onto reading the rest. From here you can give the basic explanation of your interests and life, but find a way to have it all tie into the introductory idea presented in the quote. Hope this helps and hope you are accepted into the school of your choice.
