Your options are seriously limited with a 2.5 GPA. Your dismissal from your previous university complicates the picture. Personally, I would stay at the community college longer to boost that GPA. Maybe start taking courses in the social sciences or humanities in order to do this, because you will unlikely find schools willing to let you transfer into their program with a 2.5. As for reporting your dismissal, that is up to you. If you plan on including transcripts from that school, then it is a must. Technically, on all admissions applications they tell you that you must submit this kind of information and if they find out without you telling them, it will jeopardize your admissions status. Fortunately, in the United States, we are blessed with having multiple chances after we screw up, so hope is not lost. Right now, you need to boost that GPA. I wouldn't even bother wasting money on application fees until you did this first. Good luck, I know you can do it.
