If a student's parent's credit rating is too bad to get a PLUS loan, and the student already has some?

If your parents apply for a PLUS and the PLUS is denied, you will be offered an additional unsubsidized loan of $4000 (freshman or sophomore) or $5000 (junior or senior). Check with your school for more information.
