whats the purpose of term papers/ research papers, you either copy and paste or write in own words *whats the?
Asked by harry potterpoint" they dont teach you anything, why write them, why do you have to write them in your own words, if its because of copywrite laws then the best term paper would just be in quotes with a source, whats the point of them, even if you write them in your own words, just useless hard assignment

It's done to help a student shape their mind and focus on a topic. It's also done to make the student express their opinions and broaden the understanding on a subject. It's also a good excercise in research, if one plans to pursue research. It is a good exercise to prepare for writing papers in college. It helps improve grammar and spelling skills, too. And yes, it can be extremely aggravating, lol.
