Why do people look at Online Degrees as cake walks? I earned my 4 year degree in 11 months working my ass off.
Most people look at an online degrees as bogus, but my school is accredited regionally which is the best. Plus I finished my 14 month program in 11 months and graduated with a 3.97 GPA, and it doesn't mean shit in the business world because I earned it online......What's up with that????????

That depends if you want the answer you want to hear, or the right answer. Well I'll be honest with you--spending 14 months in school is not equivalent to spending 3-4 years on a 4 year degree. That's probably why they don't accept your degree as valid (one reason). It's not just about the actual coursework; it's about the time investment too. Not only that, grades are probably inflated because you really don't have tests, or ways to evalute how much you've learned (or memorized, in some cases). Even in a regular college though, grade inflation is an issue--but it may be more so with online degrees. But that being said, I'm going to do my MBA online but through a real (well, physically existing) school. I think where you run into a problem is with online universities that aren't based on an actual campus. I think THAT is the real problem (or part of it). If I find that my degree is worthless too, I'm not going to spend $50k and 2 years getting it. But my online program is the same length as most on campus MBA programs. So they really aren't cutting any corners! Also, my degree does not differentiate between it being online vs. on campus--we all get the same degree. It really is a shame you invested all that time/money and for nothing. What you might be able to do is go on to an MBA program at a "real" (you know) school, and then you would have a valid degree. It's just an idea. You may not have the time/money/willingness to do it, but I just thought I'd throw that out there. It would show that you are serious about business and actually DID learn things during your 14 month program. It might be your best option. Good luck!
