Are there any types of funding available from the Gov. (or anyone) to help pay back student loans?
I joined the US Army with the option to either get the G.I. Bill or waive it and have my student loans "repaid". I am now 3 years into my service agreement and finding out that the loans, paid in 1/3 installments end up actually only covering 2/3 of your loans - so; if you have $30,000 in loans like I did, after interest (the Army tells you not to pay this until the loans have all been paid), and taxes (you are taxed on the money the Army pays back for you, even though it was an agreement for them to repay the entire debt themselves) - there is still around $10,000 owed... Not exactly what the Army promised... but par for the course and pretty much the Army SOP. If anyone knows of any way to get help repaying these debts please let me know!

Hard work in the field they funded you to study will do nicely as way to pay back a student loan.
