College life?
What is one thing that you were not prepared for/surprised when you got to college (ex: amount of work, amount of studying, reading, etc)?

Course preparation does really matter. Not putting your assignments off at the last minute and developing great study-skills at the college-level should make your grades where it should be earned. Also, participating in class and seeking tutoring from your professors/tutors as well as asking your professors about the material you might not understand will not be a problem for you academically. I ended up taking time off temporarily from college because I should think about what should I do as well as think about why my grades aren't so well because I put assignments/studying for tests off until the very last minute. If you do that, the tests will be a lot harder than you thought and you develop anxiety as well as your grades will not be good as you thought would be. My advice to you is to learn from other peoples' mistakes as well as your own. Yahoo search: Better Grades in Less Time would do the trick. That is my advice to you! Study skills at the high school-level do not work. If you do that way, then you would not do well academically in college. College is not easy. It is a whole different ballgame and playing field.
