Student Loans?

Asked by bransred
I was curious if the fact that my husband and I have $9000.00 in a savings account will stop me from getting student loans? We don't want to touch our savings because it is supposed to be our "in case" money. Like if my husband unexpectedly lost his job or something like that. Will they say that I have to deplete my saving before I can apply?

No. It's agreat idea to keep these savinfgs, and you won't get any trouble getting a student loan. If you go for a private loan, your savings are going to help.
