college scholarships?
Asked by treyI was wondering what my chances are for a scholarship in either lacrosse or wrestling. I'm a good wrestler in 7th and 8th grade i got 2nd in a county known for its wrestling.i also placed in states both years (NJ).the only time i devote towards wrestling is in the season. i dont wrestle all year round like many top wrestlers. lacrosse i just started a year ago and im pretty good at that too. right now im on a summer all star team llacrosse is also my favorite sport. i get very good grades and do very well on standardized tests so i wanted your opinion on which sport i should focus on more and try to get a scholarship with. all i want is a school known for academics not wrestling

Athletic scholarships are tricky. Many scholarships for minor sports (anything that is not football or basketball at most schools) are not full-scholarships. Partial scholarships are very common in collegiate sports. If you are truly interested in earning an athletic scholarship, pursue the sport you love the most and keep your grades up. Academic scholarships are more common than athletic scholarships. Keep studying, do your research and maybe you can be a walk-on for a college's wrestling or lacrosse team.
