online degrees?
Asked by blondieOk, im a mother of two, just graduated high school, work full time but still want to get my associates degree. At first i was going to just go to school a couple days a week and earn like that. But now im concidering doing it online. If you have done this, please tell me the pros and cons of it.

I've taken online classes before through my local community college. I would definitely recommend it if, and only if, you are comfortable using the internet a lot. The most frustrating thing for me was being in classes with people who did not know how to use their computers and didn't really have the desire to learn how to. But if you like using your computer, I think it is a great idea. Try looking at your local community college or state university to see what classes they are offering online. I would not recommend going to a school that is 100% online, that is kind of shady and the degrees may or may not be real and equivilant to one that you would receive at a physical school. Besides, in the future you may want to take a class or two a semester on a real college campus, it is a lot of fun and a totally different experience from taking a class online.
