SAT Subject Tests?

Asked by happy
If you take 4-5 Subject Tests when you are in High School, and 1 or 2 of them are not scores you would like to submit in your college application becuase they are not high (and also they concern a field that is not related to what you want to major in, e.g. Biology SAT II, if you want to be an engineer...) then can you submit the 3-4 SAT scores that will be more impressive? BASICALLY, can you pick and choose the SAT Subject scores you want to submit out of the ones you have taken, for the an appilication to a prestigous college?

Taking 4-5 SAT Subject Tests never looks bad, but it doesn't exactly look good either. It's more of a "good for you" type reaction. By submitting SAT Subject Test scores, you send all of the test scores that you've ever taken. You cannot opt to send certain ones. Most colleges will take only your top scores and will disregard the rest. So if you've got four 800's and one 340, and the college you apply to requires 3 SAT Subject Tests, they will take your 3 800's and disregard the other 800 and 340.
