Anyone know any college scholarships I can apply for?

Asked by Luna
Here's my description: I didn't do very well at my high school years though. I'm asian-american, currently 21, graduated in 2004. I wasn't at first going to college, but I decided to furthur my education now even though school wasn't my thing or I wasn't very good at any classes. But as long as I study hard and work hard, I'm able to pass. I'm hoping to find good scholarships, through the years I've worked hard for the United States Postal Service for a year and a half, to save up for college, but I still need the money to buy me an apartment and car when I move to OR. I quit working as a Data Conversion Operator because my work place was closing down, and I can't be transferred because it's only limit to where I'm able to live. So I'm hoping to find a good job when I move. I chose to live in OR so I can be closer to my family. I wanted to live on my own and be independent. But I hope I'm able to apply to many scholarships if it's not too late! >.< Thanks! ^_^ I haven't been accepted yet, once I move I'll be applying to a community college nearby = )

Have you been accepted to a college/university yet? If you have, your best bet is to have a meeting with their Financial Assistance office. They can let you know what you qualify for from their institution. I would also encourage you to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov/) so that you can understand what you qualify to receive from the government (Pell Grants, etc). A third option you should explore is a online clearinghouse of scholarships, such as FastWeb, where you can put in your information and they pull up possible scholarships that you could apply for. Most schools will accept outside scholarships as well, so you should definately be on the lookout for them.
