College Life?
I'm a prospective community college student for this coming fall semester. I would like to know how the college life environment operates, how the classes operate, and how the homework and grading criteria operate.

As a gradute of a community college I can say first hand that it was a great decision that I made. It is similar enough to a laid back University environment but not as strict as a high school environment. Classes work the same way but you aren't forced to go like you are in high school. Many of the srudents are easy-going and appreciate the importance of continuing their education. People are more open-minded and opinionated as well. Homework and grading is hard to say. Many times it varies from instructor to instructor. Some of them can be sticklers (I had a teacher who marked off one point for each contraction that I had in a sentence, rough) others are so laid back and grade easily. You will get a really good idea of what the teacher is about after you leave each of your first classes. (Then decide whether or not you want to drop the class :) )
