Is it okay if my admissions essay is 100 words longer?
the instructions say a "short" essay and my english teacher advised 250-500 words. mine is a little more or less of 600. its very good and very personal and im proud of it. is it okay to send off? (applying early decision)

When they say a set number of words, follow it or else risk getting your essay tossed. They may or may not notice the extra words but why go there? I can pretty much guarantee that once you edit for sentence structure, grammar, passive sentences, etc, you'll easily drop those 100 words.
