How should I go about my college admissions essay?
I mean besides the basic, interpreting the answers to their questions, what else should I put? What topic about myself will "seal the deal" basically?Any help and I would be appreciative.

it's not so much about the topic. there is no ideal answer to a college essay that will make admissions officers accept you. it's all about clarity, persuasiveness, and the effectiveness of your writing. think about the essay prompt and find a story that you can tell so beautifully, so powerfully, that admissions officers will want you. but i suppose some things to avoid would be trying to create a sob story, they probably won't admit you because they feel bad for you, everyone has a sob story that they could tell. if you had something tragic happen to you, it's ok to write about it, but don't use it as a basis for why they should admit you. you want to show what you learned and how you grew from a certain experience.
