The maximum Pell grant award for any student is $4310 for the 07-08 academic year. This means that your Expected Family Contribution on your FAFSA is 0 and you qualify then for the full award. You must also be full-time in order to receive the full award. If you are less than full-time, it will be prorated by how many units you are actually enrolled in. The maximum amount of federal stafford subsidized loan you can receive for one year as a first-year student is $3500. It will be split into $1750 for one semester and $1750 for the 2nd semester of the school year. (This is the same for Pell; it is paid in halves by semester).
