I will be moving into a college dorm soon. What do I need to get?
Asked by Carefree Alpaca!I want a well organized list of "Dorm Room Essentials." I want the advice of someone who is currently in college. Don't look up a list online; That's garbage to me. I already have a laptop, headphones, plenty of clothes, and transportation. Would a mini-fridge be useful? Don't bother answering if you're not in a dorm. Thanks in advance!

Most dorms provide a minifridge. if not you should bring one along with a microwave. If you have a roommate ask what he is bringing so you don't have to bring extra stuff. Here is a list of stuff in my dorm Bedding: XL comforter, fitted sheets, and blankets. Two pillows, egg crate (the matresses are always uncomfortable) Electronics: Table lamp, surge protector, alarm clock, extension cord, television, cable cord, ethernet cord, dvd player, phone Clothes: get stuff for all seasons, laundry basket, detergent, iron, ironing board, rolls of quarters Personal stuff: bring medicines for colds and headaches (just in case), batteries, and your stuff like deoderant and razors. Bathneeds: Basket to put your shampoo and soap in for the showers, soap container, toothbrush container, Also be sure to bring along -tissues -microwavable dinners/ canned food -can opener -brita filter or water bottles -paper towels -towels -plastic plates and bowls -forks, knives, spoons ...I would also bring posters and pictures of your family/friends to make the room look more welcoming and home-like
