Help with college admissions essay?
Asked by spicymanIm starting to apply for colleges and im always working right up to that dumb essay, then i get demoralized and cant finish. The question asks what my personality and experiences will bring to the campus to make it a better place. I dont know how to answer this, im only 17 for gods sake! its not like ive had any life altering or defining experiences. I guess im looking for a little advice or motivation for working my way through these things.

A bit of attitude is ok. It's a two way street. Why not ask what the university can do for me rather than what I can do for the university. Can it help me keep me an enquiring mind and search for my own voice or will it want to stamp out my uniqueness. Does it attract the sort of interesting individuals who will extend my awareness and help me grow. Of course the college will do this. You will have a great time but there's no harm in appearing to be naive and enthusiastic.
