NYU, Columbia SAT SUBJECT TESTS?

I didn't know NYU and Columbia required students to take two SAT II Subject tests for admission, and unfortunately NYU's regular application deadline is January 15 while Columbia's is January 2nd. My question is that since the next SAT Subject Tests are given on January 26, would it be possible for me to send my applications for NYU and Columbia now and then send my subject test scores later? Or do the scores HAVE to be in by the regular application deadline? :/.
