College Life?
What was the hardest thing about going from high school to college? Do you have any advice, I'm so scared to grow up and move away at 18!!! What should I be aware of? What do you like best? Worst?

My biggest piece of advice is know what you're coming here for. There are so many people who fail out of college or get put on academic probation their freshmen year because they think it's the "college way of life" to go out and party. You'd be surprised how many people DON'T go out and party. Find a low-key group of friends if that's your thing and you should be fine, just don't go out and party at sororities and frats every night. It's not a good thing to get into. My second piece of advice is that on the roommate agreement form make sure you fill in things with lots of detail. Don't go "I don't know", because you'll come to find that roommates are really difficult to live with at times. My roommate my freshman year would be a fun girl to hang out with, but I really just hated her as a roommate. My roommate this year however is really great! Oh! And it's not always a good idea to room with a best friend from high school. I also suggest going away for college, don't stay at home and at least your freshman year live ON campus. It'll really show you the college life and you'll meet a lot of people. The hardest part for me my freshman year was being away from home. I was upset for probably about six weeks, I loved my hometown and my family. But, now I'm really fine, it was just a six week slump. You'll meet new friends and it will be great. Also, don't be surprised when you go home and all of your friends have changed. At first you'll be taken back by it, but in the end you'll get used to it and for the most part you'll be able to start conversations as if you guys' never left. Just make sure you maintain those relationships. ;) Hope that helped. Good luck! College will hopefully be the best 4 (or more) years of your life!
