Academy of Art University or Savannah College of Art and Design?
I'm considering both schools for my Bachelor in Fine Arts for Graphic Design/Computer Arts and New Media degree but i'm stuck between the two. Any advice for both schools? - environment of the city - connections with the industry - coursework/quality of education and teachers - reputation of the school Please give balanced views on both schools! i would GREATLY appreciate it :)

These two are the top so your last three questions (connections, quality of faculty, reputation) are about equal. It used to be easier when SCAD was regionally accredited and AAU was not -- they now both are. It's the first one that will probably make the decision for you. Costs are significantly different too. Of course, Savannah is not San Francisco. The only way to determine which you prefer is to visit both (for more than a day) and see. SCAD is a traditional campus environment - AAU is spread around the city a little. SCAD is more traditionally "a college" whereas AAU is known to be a bit Boho (as is San Francisco generally). They are both on a coast but Savannah (and nearby) are more often "beach destination" than is the coast around San Fran. California is known to be a bit more high tech than is Georgia. Life in Georgia is known to move really slowly. Georgia is a much cheaper place to live than San Fran. -- just about everywhere is a cheaper place to live than is San Fran. There are cool things to go see on the west coast if you're from the east coast. There are cool things to go see on the east coast if you're from the west coast. Actually, there are cool things to go see just about everywhere but the things you've never seen before are always cooler. Surfing on this coast (east) is not so hot. Only matters if you surf. ☺ If you're from the south, people in San Fran. will think you "talk funny". If you're from anywhere but the south, people in Savannah will think you "talk funny". Honestly, I suggest you go visit each one.
