Applying to college: how late is too late?

Asked by ...
I plan on attending Adams State College next fall. They allow applications as soon as the student finishes their Junior year, and operate on a rolling admissions system. Their average entering GPA is 3.0 and their ACT 25th-75th percentile is 19-21 I have a 3.9 and 28. I'm basically guaranteed admission no problem. But, the problem is, I'm homeschooled, and the academy that I'm homeschooled through never has my materials on time. I'm not even finished with my Junior year yet because they are so backed up. I'm guessing that I will not get the rest of my Junior year materials for at least another month, and will not be ready to apply until, give or take, October or so. Lets play it safe, say my school screws me over, and I cannot apply until...January. At what point will it be too late to expect to be admitted for the fall of '09? FYI, the official Deadline is August 1st, but I still wonder just how much my chances will be reduced if I apply that late. Thanks :) Libra: Believe me, I'm already planning on a fight between my "counselor" and I when it comes down to crunch time, and I'm figuring for this too. As it is, I have to submit all of my senior year classes on a form with my application (and thus, for my senior year, my parents decided that they will buy my entire curriculum at the same time [and from a different source] so that my senior year stays consistent and I can graduate on time). I'm going to give my counselor a solid month to get my application materials in the mail, because I know she won't get off her fat ass and do it in a timely manor. Miss T: Unfortunately, my counselor is the last person who would admit to such a mistake :(

I would pay the application fees, send the material, Adams is just a state college, it is not a particularly highly sought after school, so you are probably a shoo in...
