Is Advanced Placement helpful in college?, if so, how?
Does it help decrease any time you would have to spend in college if you were a regular student? Does it help get scholarships while attending college? Can you take AP while in community college, does AP decrease time in community college as well

If you were to take AP classes in high school and do well on the AP exam, the main advantage is that you can then skip those classes at university. In general, you won't necessarily graduate early because of this - you may end up simply taking a higher level of math because you did AP Calc, or skipping Freshman English and taking an elective because you took AP English. In general, at most schools, the AP class doesn't count toward the number of credits you need to graduate from the university. Taking AP classes and exams can help you in terms of university admissions. It does look good on an application, if you do well in the class. It can look good on scholarship apps. It can also boost your weighted GPA. You can't take AP while in community college. But again, if you took an AP course and exam in high school, you may be able to skip that class in community college. You could waive out of Freshman English, for example. And believe me, that alone can be a huge advantage. It frees you up to take other classes.
