can you take AP (advanced placement) exams when you are already in college?
i don't want to take economics class so would rather take the AP's , is this allowed? if so, where would i take it?

Whether it's allowed or not depends on your college. You'd have to take it at a high school in your area, after contacting the College Board and subsequently calling the school's AP coordinator to register for the test. Another option might be taking a CLEP exam (not sure if there is one for econ), which is more regularly taken by college-age students for college credit.
