I want to get into a good college but I only had a 2.8 GPA my freshman and Sophmore year.?

Asked by Andrew R
I live in South Carolina and I had a gpa of 2.8 my first two years of high school, and I had a 3.2 my junior year. I hope to have at least a 3.5 by the end of this year. Can I still get into a good state funded college like South Carolina or Clemson. (by the way I have pretty impressive extracurricuals) I am in advanced classes (not AP) with the exception of Math which I am in an OGL level Algerbra 2 class. Even though I meet the requirements to go to college I would liked to have that 4th math credit. I really want to get into a good college and I hope my stupidity as a freshman has not screwed this up for me. Is going to tech then transfering a better option for me? Thanks a lot I appreciate it!

Score high on your ACT or SAT, whichever you'll need to take. Most colleges will overlook a small GPA discrepancy if you have high testing scores.
