If you are attempting to decide between keeping your job and going to Unity College, I would definitely say go for college. Your "good" $11/hr job is great for a 19 year old, but moving up from there is going to stop way short of what you want to be making when you're 30. There aren't enough raises from $11/hr to get anywhere significant. As for benefits, colleges have health insurance available for students. You have to pay for it, but it's cheaper than the usual insurance. While going to college may be costly, I think you will be glad you did it. You may want to research jobs in biology and zoology to see what the potential income is, but I think it cannot be worse than what you have now. You should definitely come out ahead. Check out www.bls.gov/OCO/ to research potential salaries for careers. If you are going to be attending a pricy college, you can also work your tail off to get any scholarship or grant money you can lay your hands on. Get into honors, find out what your state offers, find out what the school offers. Also, there is a grant for jr. and sr. students with math or science majors called the SMART grant. When the time comes, keep that one in mind too. Another thing about school loans, once you reach a certain total, when you are finished with school you can have them reevaluate your loans and finance over 25 years instead of just 10. Also, student loans are considered "good" debt as long as you are paying consistently and on time.
