I have deiced at 27 that i am going back to school to become a pediatrician. Any advise?
I am currently enrolled at a community college for liberal arts and science. This is the course i found has the most options for math and sciences. Do you think it would be better to go into the nursing program? Or stay in the one that could get me throught Calculus and chemisrty? I know it is late in my life to decide to go to school for this but i have made up my mind. I am also aiming for Yale.

I would meet with an advisor at a 4 year college you are interested in and see what types of classes are needed to be pre-med. Stay in liberal arts and tailor your schedule to fit the needs of the 4 year while you are at the community college. Nothing stinks worse than taking classes and finding out later they have no transfer value. I would avoid the nursing program since the core nursing classes are roughly 35 credits that wont apply to a pre-med program. It is never too late to start your education. To get a heads up, I would take summer classes and winter break sessions. Also, if you can handle 15 credits a semester, I would try it. It takes roughly 60 credits to graduate from a community college. 15 credits a semester will get you thru that in 2 years. Good luck!
