Help with picking school for career in Optometry?
I want to go to Berkeley School of Optometry, but I need help picking out the school I'm going to before that. Currently, I want to go to San Jose State to major in bio and then apply for Berkeley. Is that a good decision? Would going to a school like UCLA help my chances of getting into Berkeley later?

Optometry is very competitive. The better the school you go to, the better your grades will look. Of course, your grades need to be in the range they're looking for. But, to answer your question: yes, going to a school like UCLA will help your chances of getting into one of Berkeley's grad schools versus San Jose State. Doesn't mean going to SJSU stops you from going to Berkeley. It's just much harder to do so.
