How can going to a $40,000 private school school over a cheap state school help you in your career?
Which is the smatter way to go? Does it matter if I'm going to go to graduate school?

Well, I went to both a public and private college. The public college was very big, lots of students, and the teachers really couldn't give me the one on one time that I needed. To say the least I dropped out after only a semester. I then after a few years decided to go back to school, and went to a private Christian college. I only had to go for 3 years though since a lot of my credits from my previous 2 schools (I also had an associates degree) transferred to this college. I really enjoyed my 3 years at the private college. First because the classes were very small, the biggest class I had had about 10 people in it. The professors really get to know you as a person, and not as a number or name. I was struggling in Math, and my math teacher actually called me one night before a test and wished me good luck, and sang that song from "Finding Nemo" that Dory Sings...Just Keep Swimming, and we had a good laugh. =) The counselors at private schools are also more personal and can customize your schedules to fit your needs better as well. So it really just depends on what kind of environment you want/need in a school. I felt I accomplished more with the smaller school setting than I did with the larger school setting. PS-as for the career...it doesn't really help you if you go to public or private as who hires you usually doesn't notice or care, but make sure you do go to an accredited school because they may look that up. Good luck!
