can i go to a American college before finishing high school?
Asked by ly0203558This fall I'll be a Grade 2 student in a Chinese high school. In China, every student must finish three-year high school education and then can go to a Chinese colledge. My question is, can I go to an American college before graduating from my high school? I'd like to leave for US just after Grade 2. If not, what should I do to enter a American high school? Do I need any test like TOFEL? How about the cost? Could they offer me financial aid or something like that? Cause my family is not rich. And could you tell me some American high schools' wed site address? I almost know nothing about how to prepare for a high school. Thank you for your patience and support again! Have a nice day!

American high school is free in whichever area you are going to live. You can pay more for private high schools if you find one you can afford. Generally, the better free high schools in America are in areas where people are rich. If your family is putting a lot of hope on your education, you might want to consider living in a smaller place with a better school district. I think there are ways to satisfy federal or state general education requirements which allow you to apply to colleges or universities but you'll have to find that out here. Most public high schools should have a counseling office which can help you with this. Bao zhong! :)
