I need the name of the program that sends American college students to teach for a year in another country?

It's a scholarship or fellowship, and I think the name starts with an "F", but I'm not sure. I know its like a grant basically and you apply to teach in a foreign country for a year before doing graduate work.

If you're talking about the grant that begins with an "F", you must be referring to the Fulbright Scholarship. It is extremely difficult to get, although if you think you have a shot at it, go for it. My cousin got his M.A. from the University of Bologna in Italy on the Fulbright. "The Fulbright Program provides funds for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools abroad. The initial reach of this program had been primarily European countries, and now the program operates worldwide." There are other less prestigious programs out there that allow you to teach in China or Japan for a year before you begin graduate work, but these programs aren't nearly as good. Hope I was able to help, good luck to you.
