In general, how hard is it to get accepted into an Art Institute?

Asked by Eric S.I applied to one recently and haven't heard anything from them yet. In general how hard is it to be accepted into any of the Art Insitutes. (By the way, I applied at the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg)

As far as i know, its virtually everyone. As long as you have graduated high school (or receieved a GED) and show interest, you should be fine. and also, SCAD is not associated with the Art institute chain so its not really relevant, SCAD is just a really easy place to get in also. however, not all art schools are, like RISD has a 33% acceptance rate, MICA a 35%, and Cooper Union is somewhere around 4%
