Can you enter a college without a H.S Diploma?
Asked by PhatabulousI left high school in 2006 but I never recieve my diploma because I couldn't pass the Science portion of the graduation test. However I did apply to enter Augusta Technical College in October of 2007. I started school with no problem went 3 quaters and then stopped(big mistake). Now I'm starting a Phlebotomy course in June and they need a copy of my H.S Diploma but I'm not sure if I have it or not. I'm going to call the board of education on Monday morning. But why did they let me start technical college if I didn't have my diploma...

It doesn't sound like you earned your diploma, so don't be surprised if you can't get a copy. Technical schools are for-profit, so they are often pretty lax about admissions requirements as long as you can pay. You might be better off just taking the GED; most places will accept that instead of a diploma.
