Aviation Institute of Maintenance?

Asked by CrystalRose
I plan on attending the AIM in Philadelphia. I am a bit nervous. I have no exp in airplane mechanics but I am exp in automotive mechanics. Becoming a powerplant technician is a new found interest of mine. If anyone has attending a school for this sort please contact me at crystalrose86_06@yahoo.com thanks

You will find a lot of similaralities in how their systems work. turbo prop, radial engines and plenty of others are still combustion engines the principals dont change mutch. if you stuff up on a car engine it runs to a stop beside the road, if you stuff up on a plane engine it falls out of the sky, thats the biggest difference i found with helicopters.
