Which is better to attend for an undergraduate education?

Asked by thefacade
I got into all of these and I was hoping to get some opinions: New York University- VERY little financial aid >.< Emory University- yet to receive financial aid packet University of Miami- full aid University of Florida- full aid Barnard College- yet to receive financial aid packet I THINK I want to study neuroscience or psychology, and thus I think Emory and University of Miami would be good for that but I'm not sure. Also, would it be better to hope to get into one of these from the waitlist? Wellesley Wesleyan John Hopkins George Washington I also might wanna go into pre-med

Johns Hopkins is your best bet for pre-med because of their unbelievable med school -- but you will be far from guaranteed admission when you graduate -- it is HARD to get into med school (my friend was a 3.9 pre med/biosomething major at hopkins and got into georgetown, but not after a LONG and arduous process)... NYU is by far the best of your acceptances (non-waitlisted)... and you can't very well compare Wesleyan with any of the others... it's a lib arts school, right? totally different kind of school, not on the same scale of comparison. if you decide you want to go to NYU, don't decide based on the money -- if it's better for you, it will be worth it in the long run. But you HAVE to go where you feel most comfortable -- don't let anyone on here tell you where to go that being said (my 2c here), unless you *really* want to go to Miami or FL, forget them both - your other schools are much MUCH better options. because if you end up somewhere you don't really want to be, you'll have a miserable time no matter HOW good the school is said to be. if you haven't visited already, visit these places -- i'd suggest you include one of your smaller schools (probably the lib arts school to give you a good mix) and go to see how you'd feel about spending the next four years at each. don't count on being accepted where you were waitlisted -- you should expect rejection and plan on attending a school that's already offered you admission. but see where you WANT to go -- nothing else matters
