Santa Barbara City College or Santa Monica College?

Asked by tennisfreak
Hey guys im very interested in attending an community college in CA. I'm out of state(dc) and plan on attending right after high so fall 2008. The ones I narrow it down to are Santa Barbara City College and Santa Monica College. Each one has its pros and cons and right now i'm leaning towards Santa Barbara. I'm afraid if i choose santa barbara i wont get into berkeley because it doesn't have a higher transfer rate than santa monica and if i choose santa monica im afaird that i won't get the college experience that i'll get at santa barbara. My main goal once I get there is keep my grades up so i can transfer to my dream school berkeley or if not berkeley than ucla but still i want to have fun. I'm so torn what do you guys think? And also every time I try to apply for fall 2008 it only shows spring 2008 and summer 2008 can anyone explain these?
