They are not well reputed for their education, no. I'd consider them better than some, but no where near the league of, say, the Fashion Institute or Parsons in this field, and subpar to the CUNY schools in NYC in terms of overall education. However, they're better than U of Phoenix, or Devry, or Katherine Gibbs. If you feel that Berkeley College is a good fit for you, and your academics aren't at a place which will allow you to apply to FIT or another stronger school, then Berkeley can be a good choice. Try to do an internship or a co-op in the field before you graduate. This will make it much more likely that you'll be employable when you get out. At Berkeley, the big fashion companies/retaillers won't be heavily recruiting, but they certainly won't turn you away should you apply. It's not a great school. It doesn't have a fabulous rep. But it also doesn't have a horrible rep like U of Phoenix and things like that. Again, if it's a good fit and your academics won't allow you to go to FIT, then it may be fine.
