Does anyone know of icelandic schools and high schools. In iceland high school goes up to what grade?
Asked by jesser manI want to know about Icelandic schools and high schools. Is it true that they stop at the 10th grade? Is it true they have a 4 year course before college after the 10th grade? What food do they eat in Iceland? Do they sell wheat berries in Iceland,How much. Please answerers from iceland or people who been to iceland! Thanks Jesse

In Iceland schools are compulsory until 10th grade. After that most students choose to continue their education in schools that are some sort of a middle-stage between high school and university. It is most common to go to those schools for 4 years, but there exist fast courses where the material is covered faster (in 3 years). After this school people can get into university. One cannot go straight from high school to university in Iceland. We eat all sorts of food in Iceland. There is a lot of foreign influence in our food, but there also exist some traditional Icelandic foods, like various types of fish, lamb etc. I'm not sure exactly what wheat berries are, so I'm afraid I can't tell you if we have them here.
