i need help with my decision?
Asked by mizze_townhi..im a senior,and i plan to go to college this fall.....but my moms is nagging my ear off about my choices....i have three choices..#1 is snead state community college, #2 is bevill state community college, & #3 is jefferson state community college...im from birmingham,alabama and...its just so hard,because i want to go off to college and my mom is making me feel stupid,and tryign to tell me where i need to go,but i think its where i want to go....should i choose my decision,or should she decide for me. i really really want to go to snead state...its about 1 hour and 35 min from b'ham..and shes like if i go live up there on campus ,im gonna be stuck up there ,until she comes get me ,which is whenever..im not having 2nd thoughts,but i am thinking,i keep asking her to teach me how to drive ,and she keeps comming up with these sorry reasons as why she cant...because im plannign on getting a job or to go job hunting the day after i graduate and save for a little car or something...

Ok listen to me. This is what college is all about. Making your own decisions, so why let your mom nag you into doing something you don't want? ONLY apply to the colleges YOU want to go to and while you are at it check their campuses and decide where YOU think YOU will be the most comfortable. Listen to what your mom has to say and consider the choices you have but what it comes down to is you. As soon as you get into college you also need to choose the class you want to take. That decision is all up to you and decides how your life is going to be when your older. On the subject of choosing your own classes. This is something I try to tell everyone do what you love. Try a career where you will like to work and you wont loose interest in. I am try to direct you to what YOU want to do thats the only thing you will enjoy. And if you do pick a college and have regrets just forget it because as long as you're in control you will make the right decisions.
