PEOPLE who know college stuff! How hard is it to transfer from one private university to another sophomore yea
How hard is it to transfer from one private university to another sophomore year?? Say i go to Pepperdine University for my Freshmen year. Is it extremely difficult to transfer to a really great school like Columbia? If it isn't impossible, do you have any tips?? Also, would it be easier to transfer to Columia if I went to Pepperdine (a pretty okay school ranking-wise) rather than if I went to a much lower ranked school like Biola University? thxxx so much :D im in a major dilemma!

Undergraduate transfers are usually made after your sophomore year. Generally, if you choose to transfer before or during your sophomore year the institution you transfer to will evaluate your admission based on your work done before university, while upper-division transfers (junior standing) are usually based work done while at university. A lot of times universities have what is called an "articulation agreement" and your classes will transfer from institution to institution provided the two schools have this agreement. That said, I suggest you talk a college counselor.
