don't worry about past mistakes, there are grants for everyone. i've given this same advice to like 3 other people. the best place to start is at your local library or bookstore. look for an author named Ben Kaplan. he delivers the easiest to read system for finding scholarships and grants and the grants and scholarships in his book almost everyone qualifies for. plus he walks you through each step of applying and even has examples of winners' entries. here's a list of his books.
